Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri was an Indian actress, who gained recognition for her performance in Hum Aapke Hain Koun as well as Beta Saajan. She began her career in the 1980s and came to prominence with her performance in the Tezaab film, in which she was a part of the cast alongside an established actor Anil Kapoor. Her subsequent appearance on screen was Dil with Aamir. As a young girl growing up in the middle class of Mumbai, she started to dance. As a young woman, she started acting but was not successful as a lot films she made were not successful. Her breakthrough came when she finally had success and then was one of the most well-known actresses in the Indian film business. She decided to take a break from her career due to her marriage, before going back to the industry of entertainment. She was recently a key player in Gulaab Gang about Indian women. Dixit was awarded 8 Filmfare Awards out of the fifteen she was nominated for. Padma Shri was awarded to Dixit, the fourth-highest civil honour in India. She also has a reputation for social activism.
