Gerina-Piller
She was born in Roswell on March 29, 1985. Gerina Michelle Mendoza is her birth name. Gerina Stevenson is the daughter of Mexican parents Rita Stevenson (mother) and Alan Stevenson (father). She is American and has Mexican-American heritage. Since the age of a child, she has had a strong interest in playing activities. Gerina was a golfer for the first time at age 15. Gerina was a student at Goddard High School for her high school education. At the age of 16, she was a winner in the state championship golf tournament in New Mexico. Also, she was a volleyball player who competed on the level of state. The year 2003 was the time she was enrolled in the University of Texas. As a senior she took home the top prize in every competition that was entered. During the undergraduate years, she was awarded Conference USA's individual player of year, as well as UTEP's Female Athletic Champion of the Year.
